The S Family: An Evening of Fun!

I photographed this fantastic family last evening.
Little Miss A and Little Miss M were so much fun!

Are they gorgeous or what?!

We had to test out their play set of course!

Look at those eyes. I was grinning from ear to ear as I got this preview ready.
Little Miss M, you are adorable!

Little Miss A is starting Kindergarten this fall. She was so much fun to photograph!
(she kept me on my toes!)

Thanks Kristi, Rick, Little Miss A and Little Miss M!
Enjoy!

Michael: Osceola Class of 2013

I had the privilege of photographing Michael this week!
His session was at his home, and he had great backgrounds for us to choose from!

These were in his back yard... how cool is that?!

And a cool car too!

Thanks, Michael!
Enjoy!

Brianna: Osceola Class of 2013

Brianna has a fantastic smile and a wonderful personality.
Needless to say, I had a lot of fun photographing her!

We started out at her grandparent's farm. Such a fun location! We went out to the hill where they go sledding in the winter, the photos don't do it justice. This hill was HUGE.

After that we went to Star Prairie Park.
I absolutely LOVE having sessions here in the evening. The light is amazing.

Brianna, you are beautiful! Inside and out!
Thank you so much for having me photograph you!
Enjoy!

Laura: Osceola Class of 2013

Simply Beautiful.
I loved photographing you, Laura, and I hope you love your portraits!

We started out at Interstate Park, and then went to downtown St Croix Falls.

(above) This might be the tiniest alley in SCF. I love how huge the wall looks!
I love this wall, and Laura's pink shirt is fantastic with it!

Laura brought her friend Taylor with to the session. It was really fun! I think she helped Laura relax and just be herself. Thanks Taylor!

Thanks Laura! Enjoy!

Ryan: Amery Class of 2013

Ryan's fantastic session was yesterday.
This was my second farm location of the week, and I'm LOVING it! :)

We started out inside with the background and lights.
Charlie (the dog) couldn't resist getting in on a few photos.

Ryan has an awesome truck!
I don't usually get overly excited over vehicles, but this is was an exception. :)
There's nothin' like a farm boy and his truck.

Thanks, Ryan!
Enjoy!

Jordan: Amery Class of 2013

I had the privilege of photographing Jordan at his family's farm yesterday!
He incorporated different things into our session that reflected his personality and interests, and it was so fun because of it. His archery equipment, his truck, a favorite cow. They added another unique dimension to his senior portraits.

We even got a few smiles out of him!

Enjoy!

One Family, Thousands of Photos

I was going thru some of my older digital files and was looking for something else, when I found the first session that I had with this family! I am blessed to say that that they are my cousins. :)

Let me fill you in on the stories behind these photos.

The summer before my senior year in high school (2008), I had the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the Career Academy Program at my school. I shadowed Renee (a professional portrait photographer) a few times that summer, and then at least once a week thru out the school year. I still say it was like a year of college. Renee is fantastic. (click *here* to go to her Facebook page) She let me borrow her back up camera over a long weekend, which was conveniently the Sletten Family Reunion. I thought I had been given the world! So, of course, I wrangled three of my cutest cousins (Although in all fairness, they're all amazingly cute. I have very adorable cousins) and I had my first ever photo session with a non-point and shoot camera!

This top photo was taken that summer, the bottom was taken just last month.

Way cute, right? Although the photo perfectionist in me must point out that the lilac bush behind them is in focus and they are not. :)

Julia and I thought we'd do it again the next summer! I had gotten my own "professional" camera by then and was starting college in a few months. What we hadn't planned on was Little Miss C's intense dislike for my camera. Not joking. We tried two separate times.

I don't remember what brought this next session on, I think it must have been a school assignment. I absolutely LOVE the photo below. I met them at a park, and it ended up being VERY windy.

Another Reunion rolled around, and of course we had another session. :) We also did a few of Mis L and Miss E, who's birthday had been a few months before this.

Last summer, we thought we'd mix it up a bit and go to Stilwater! We had fun, to say the least.

This summer was extra special. All of Julia's siblings were here for the Reunion and we did a huge family photo. (You can see it *here*) We also did each family individually, and these were from that.

I love this family! I have gotten to know them better over the course of these sessions and summers, and they are so much fun to be around! I have so many photos of this family, hence the post title.

It is fun to see the girls grow, as well as my photography.

I hope you enjoy the peek back into my photographical past.

Is that a word? Or did I just make that up? :)
