Here's a peek at my weekend up north...

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a memorial walk for a friend this weekend. The walk raised $450.00 for the ALS Foundation in memory of Mavis Moe. This was my first benefit event and kicked off my non-profit photography service, Lia Images. Head on over to the blog and find out more about Lia Images and this wonderful memorial walk.

A Few of My Favorite Things...

My all time favorite thing to photograph? KIDS!

I love kids, all ages and stages. Photographing kids is great, because they haven't mastered the art of hiding their feelings. If they're happy and relaxed, I get some awesome expressions. If they don't really want to smile, they give me the cheesiest smile they've got. They're themselves in front of the camera. I love it.

I make a point of being kid-friendly in my sessions. I talk to them before we get started. What's your favorite thing about school? (Usually the answer is recess) Do you have a favorite color? How old are you? I want them to feel comfortable with me before I bring out the big, scary camera. And then its all fun. We play peek-a-boo behind a tree. Jump in puddles (see photo). Sing songs...

My priority is giving you professional quality portraits of your child/ children that you will never forget.

Spring Time!

The snow has finally melted, which means its SPRING! Granted, its almost June 1st, so its close to being summer. :) Its like Wisconsin skipped from winter right to summer...

A beginning...

To my *one* follower.... Hello!

My hope is to blog twice a week about what Ever After Photography is doing and photographing. My goal is to be an official, legal photography business starting June 1st (starting the paperwork today!). This means, of course, that I have to have a blog. ;) I already have a website, which I just revamped, and you can check it out *here*.

So, what are we doing?

At the moment, I'm in the process of moving back home from college. Unpacking, sorting, cleaning, and organizing isn't my strong suit, but I'm getting there.

I just started helping out with the St. Croix ArtBarn's production of Up North! and its going to be great! Come check it out June 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 7! I'm sure some photos will make an appearance here... there are so many cuties!!

No sessions this week, as of yet, but I'm excited to drop into OHS and talk to some students who are interested in furthering their education in the art field. :)

This is my nephew Kaleb... you'll be seeing much more of him... :)
